Day 166 End of an era

Tonight saw the marking of an end of an era. Some 3 years ago I embarked on my career with a well known fitness establishment at a club based in Leeds City Centre. Recently it was announced that that specific club would close. So tonight a party was held for staff, former staff and members. It was a small affair but a nice one as it have me opportunity to catch up with familiar faces. The club holds many fond memories, I learned how to be a manager there and met many lifelong friends. I have so many happy memories of the place and would dare say it was the place I was most happiest in my professional career so far. The club closes at the end of the month, it will be a sad day, but I'd rather focus on the memories of all the staff and members. The great nights out, the banter, the practical jokes and the ever present professionalism....

  1. It's a sad day. I went through the same nearly 2 years ago when our department was relocated to Pudsey.
    Still looking for a job!!!

  2. Thanks for the comment, I am lucky as Ino longer wor in this club, I moved on last year to on of our other clubs, but thiis club meant alot to me and may of te staff there are good friends of mine. I think most of them have managed to secure positions in our other clubs. Hope you job hunt goes well.

  3. Not cool. Great that you can focus on the happy memories

  4. That's fantastic that you were able to have the party to celebrate your time together.

    Thanks for linking up.
